C38000

UNS C38000 (standardized under ASTM B455 for copper alloy extruded shapes, with related specifications in ASTM B16 and ASTM B124) is a leaded (α + β) duplex brass known commercially and architecturally as Architectural Bronze (or Leaded 57/40 Extrusion Brass). Formulated with 55.0% to 60.0% copper, a high free-machining lead content of 1.5% to 2.5%, and an optional trace addition of aluminum/tin, C38000 is engineered specifically for the hot extrusion of sharp, intricate, and thin-walled solid or hollow profiles.
