C33500

UNS C33500 (standardized under ASTM B135 for seamless brass tubes) is a low-leaded yellow brass alloy engineered specifically to bridge the gap between cold workability and machinability. Containing approximately 62.5% to 66.5% copper and a controlled 0.25% to 1.0% lead, this alpha ($\alpha$) brass provides enough ductility for flaring, bending, expanding, and swaging without splitting, while the small lead addition acts as an internal chip breaker to improve drilling, threading, and cutting operations over completely unleaded brasses.
