CW602N

CW602N (chemical designation CuZn36Pb2As) is the primary European standard dezincification-resistant (DZR) brass alloy defined under EN 12164 (rods for free machining), EN 12165 (forging stock), and EN 12420 (forgings). Engineered specifically for potable water and aggressive fluid installations, it features a controlled micro-addition of arsenic (0.02% - 0.15% As) combined with heat-treatment capability. This inhibits selective zinc leaching (dezincification) in acidic, chlorinated, or hot soft-water environments.
