C3602

JIS C3602 (governed by Japanese Industrial Standard JIS H 3250) is a medium-leaded brass alloy engineered to occupy the middle ground in the Japanese free-machining brass series. Formulated with 59.0% to 63.0% copper and a controlled 1.5% to 2.5% lead content, it balances rapid chip fragmentation during high-speed CNC turning with the mechanical toughness needed for light-to-moderate cold deformation, such as knurling, thread rolling, and staking.
