C3603

JIS C3603 (standardized under Japanese Industrial Standard JIS H 3250) is a high-leaded, free-machining brass alloy specifically developed for high-volume automated manufacturing, Swiss-type CNC turning, and precision screw machining. Formulated with 57.0% to 61.0% copper and a generous lead addition of 1.8% to 3.0%, it is positioned directly between C3602 (medium-lead) and C3604 (maximum-lead). This alloy provides rapid chip disposal, extended cutting-tool life, and tight dimensional stability, while retaining sufficient tensile strength and surface density for precision components.
