CZ121

CZ121 (designated under the British Standard BS 2874 and harmonized in European standards as EN 12164 / CW614N) is the European benchmark alloy for high-speed automated turning, drilling, and milling. Known metallurgically as CuZn39Pb3, it contains approximately 3% lead distributed throughout an $(\alpha + \beta)$ duplex brass matrix. This structure acts as a built-in chip breaker and natural lubricant, ensuring rapid cycle times, minimal tool wear, and clean surface finishes..
